Onboarding
Reading public data on EBSI requires no identity or authorisation. To write to EBSI registries — for example to issue credentials or join a trust chain — create your identifier and obtain the authorisation to act.
If you are developing a project using the EBSI infrastructure or joining an existing project as an actor, you must create an identifier for your organisation to gain write access to EBSI's APIs and smart contracts.
- Create an identifier as a Legal Entity (did:ebsi) or Natural Person (did:key)
- Register a did:ebsi identifier in the DID Registry
- Obtain an authorisation token to write to EBSI's APIs

As a Legal Entity
Create a did:ebsi DID and register it in the DID Registry.
As a Natural Person
Create a privacy-preserving did:key DID to hold and present credentials.
Access Control
Obtain the authorisation needed to write to EBSI trusted registries.
